Pastor Brummel will be sharing stories from the Washington NH SDA Church and other early Adventist History we can use for our day.
Why did the definition of Church change as we hit the 1900’s? William Miller’s Bible Study Method led to our Pillar Doctrines; can it help with today’s theological controversies? Can we learn from the youth at Washington NH accepting righteousness without works in 1879. Why Waldo Farnsworth, my favorite Farnsworth, may inspire you also. “Washington Still Speaks” as we follow the Lamb.
NOTE: Please have a Bible Search Program on your phone such as E-Sword for this seminar.
Kenneth Brummel
Pastor Ken Brummel grew up in a Catholic family in Illinois. He joined the Adventist Church in 1980. In 1981 he went to Andrews University where he would earn a B.A. in Theology and a Master of Divinity at the Seminary. He met his wife Marsha Hammond-Brummel at Andrews. They are celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary on June 17 this year. Ken worked in the Illinois Conference, Kansas-Nebraska Conference, before coming to Northern New England Conference in 1998. In 2004, Ken transitioned to teaching as a career. In 2011, Ken became the Volunteer Site Director at the Washington NH Church. He is still the volunteer leader at Washington. Seeing his ministry as a Revivalist, Ken uses the stories of the Washington NH SDA Church to encourage members to a deeper commitment to Jesus as we near the Lord’s return. Email washingtonsda@nnec.org for information about visiting the Washington NH SDA Church. The Washington NH Church is open each Sabbath from May 18 through Sabbath October 26. Pastor Brummel meets with visitors’ other days by appointment.
