Many conflicts, whether in marriage, in church, or at work, can be resolved if we knew how to apply wisdom, meekness, and communication skills. But this wisdom must be from above. How can Christian women live out the characteristics of being meek and quiet when there is so much confusion about these words? This series combines Bible teaching on wisdom and meekness with practice sessions on effective communication skills.
Additionally, join us for our traditional Women's Ministry brunch on Sunday at 10:45am in the Main Tent.
The phrase "women should be meek and quiet" can be off-putting. However, could there be a deeper meaning that we're overlooking? What does it really 1 Peter 3 really mean? We delve into Abigail's story to explore the phenomenal strength of Spirit-filled women. We will also have exercises to practice effective communication to help solve conflict.
When a violent prison riot broke out in a Chinese jail, the guards turned to an unlikely savior. The prison gates opened to let in a small, Christian woman. A prisoner had a machete raised, ready to bring it down on another inmate. It was hard to imagine how a woman only 4’10’’ tall could restore order. Yet, this tale showcases the remarkable strength of a gentle and humble woman. This session explores the power of a woman who is subdued by the Holy Spirit. Join practice sessions that will show you how your speech, tone, and demeanor can affect others positively.
