If we meet our deadline, this playground is set to be installed this summer!
Breakdown of our $250,000 goal (estimates):
$160,000 - playground equipment
$45,000 - labor for equipment setup
$10,000 - wood chips
$35,000 - contractor costs*
*There is a chance that we may be able to use volunteers to do a lot of the ground work. If we save funds in that way, we hope to use the extra funds to do things like:
- build gardening boxes to have around the playground
- build a reading nook
- build Adirondack chairs and swinging benches for the teachers
- build picnic tables for eating and hangout
Note: We previously had set this up in 2 stages but we learned that even though we didn't meet our stage 1 deadline of Dec. 31, we could still order everything as long as we have all of the finances by our current deadline.
